Valentine's Day is a day known for showing one's love for another. These recipes are sure to create drinks that anyone can enjoy on the Day of Love.

When Valentine's Day approaches, the thoughts of cherubs, hearts and chocolates come to mind. However, there are other ways of dealing with the holiday, whether there with a significant other, alone or with friends.

Some people find that the holiday can be a pain to deal with, especially if they are alone. Sometimes it is best to get together with a large group of friends, get some fun and holiday-themed drinks and spend the night discussing their love, or dislike to the holiday at hand. Luckily it isn't necessary to go out to a bar, and get hit on, in order to order these types of drinks

Below are a list of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to enjoy on the the day set aside for those in love.

Bésame (Kiss Me)

Ingredients:

  • 2 lime wedges
  • 5-6 raspberries
  • 1 1/2 oz. Agavero
  • Passion fruit juice
  • Dash of Chambord

Directions:

  1. Muddle limes and raspberries in a highball glass.
  2. Add Agavero
  3. Top off with passion fruit juice.
  4. Add a splash of Chambord
  5. Pour this mix into a cocktail shaker with ice.
  6. Shake well.
  7. Strain back into the highball glass.

Agave Kiss

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz. Herradura Tequila Silver
  • 1 oz. white creme de cacao
  • 1 oz. double cream
  • 1/2 oz. Chambord
  • White chocolate flakes for rimming

Directions:

  1. In a cocktail shaker with ice, add Herradura tequila, white creme de cacao, double cream and Chambord.
  2. Shake for 15 seconds.
  3. Pour into a chilled cocktail glass, rimmed with white chocolate, add a spear of fresh raspberries, and serve.

Berry Sweetheart (Non-alcoholic)

Ingredients:

  • 3 oz. red cranberry juice
  • 3 oz. apple juice
  • 1 oz honey
  • Maraschino cherry for garnish

Directions:

  1. Fill a highball glass with ice cubes.
  2. Add the juices and honey to a mixing glass.
  3. Stir the ingredients with a bar spoon.
  4. Pour the contents of the mixing glass into a highball glass.
  5. Garnish with a maraschino cherry.

Cherub's Cup

Ingredients:

  • 1 part St. Germain elderflower liqueur
  • 2 parts vodka, citrus vodka, or Hendricks Gin
  • 3/4 part fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 shot simple syrup
  • 1 part muddled strawberry
  • Brut Rose Sparkling Wine
  • Strawberries

Ingredients:

  1. Shake elderflower liqueur, vodka, lemon juice, simple syrup, and muddled strawberry; strain over ice in a Collin's glass.
  2. Top with Brut Rose Sparkling Wine.
  3. Garnish with a strawberry.

Happily Ever After

Ingredients:

  • 1 3/4 oz. Rhum J.M. Blanc
  • 3/4 oz. Cynar
  • 3/4 oz. Cherry Heering
  • 1/4 oz. Averna
  • 2 Dash Rhubarb Bitters
  • 1 Dash Whiskey Barrel Bitters

Directions:

  1. Combine all ingredients except bitters into an ice filled cocktail shaker.
  2. Shake and strain alcohol into a crushed ice filled cocktail glass.
  3. Drop bitters into the glass and stir.

Love Potion #9

Ingredients:

  • 1 oz. strawberry, vanilla or clear vodka
  • 1/2 oz. white creme de cacao
  • 1/2 cup fresh or frozen strawberries
  • 1 scoop of vanilla ice cream
  • 1/2 cup ice
  • Strawberry for garnish

Directions:

  1. Pour the ingredients into a blender.
  2. Blend until smooth.
  3. Pour into a chilled margarita glass.
  4. Garnish with a strawberry.
